Maybe a better memorable moment was the day we towed it down to an open parking lot in NJ for its first real shakedown. The car had only been driven up and down one city block a half dozen times so we had no idea what to expect. We don’t have any photos of Jason and I from that day (only the car), but I’d imagine if we did you would see some huge smiles on our faces. After 9 months of building this car, everything done by us with no outside help, we accomplished what we had set out to do. We were pretty proud. One of my all-time favorite photos of the car was taken that day – a simple photo of the car sitting on the uhaul trailer we rented – to me, it just says: “damn, we actually did it.”“
